The fourth Folklore Festival was held in Jezero, organized by the Biseri Plive folklore group and bringing together numerous cultural and artistic societies, as well as enthusiasts of traditional dance, music and heritage.
Jezero Mayor Snežana Ružičić said she was particularly pleased that the event, now being held for the fourth time, is gradually becoming a recognizable cultural event and traditional gathering in the municipality.
“Last night, I enjoyed the wonderful program of our fourth Folklore Festival. I am especially pleased that this event continues to grow year after year and brings together more and more people who love folklore, song, dance and everything that forms part of our identity,” Ružičić said.
The program featured a rich variety of traditional costumes, choreographies from different regions and a strong spirit of togetherness, with particular emphasis placed on preserving cultural heritage and passing traditions on to younger generations.
In addition to the host group, Biseri Plive, the festival featured KUD Petar Kočić from Mrkonjić Grad, KUD Petar I Karađorđević from Mrkonjić Grad, KUD Ribnik from Ribnik, ANIP Nikola Kokošar from Šipovo and KUD 9. Januar from Banja Luka.
Ružičić expressed particular gratitude to the members of Biseri Plive for their dedication and love for preserving tradition, as well as to all visiting ensembles, participants and visitors who contributed to the event.
