The Serb National Theatre from Novi Sad will present its ballet triptych “Somewhere Beyond the Planets” in Bijeljina on Sunday, November 1, at 8:00 p.m. at the Semberija Cultural Center, as part of the “Days of Serbia in Republika Srpska 2026” cultural event.
The performance is choreographed by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and draws inspiration from the surrealist world of Salvador Dalí, particularly his famous 1935 painting Woman with a Head of Roses.
Bringing works of art to life through movement
Paintings have always been an important source of inspiration for the choreographer, who uses movement to bring familiar works of art to life.
Through dance, she seeks to free painted figures from their static existence, allowing them to breathe, transform and inhabit the fleeting world of movement.
Admission to the performance is free, and interested visitors can collect their tickets at the Semberija Cultural Center box office.
