The Republika Srpska Handball Federation organized its third coaching seminar in Banja Luka, bringing together more than 100 coaches for professional training and education.
This year’s seminar was attended not only by coaches of senior teams competing in the m:tel First League for men and women and the m:tel Unified Second League of Republika Srpska, but also by coaches working with youth categories.
“This was certainly a useful seminar, and our coaches had an opportunity to further develop their knowledge. Once again, we had excellent lecturers, and I am confident that the coaches had the opportunity to learn something new. As a new feature this year, we included coaches working with youth teams, especially considering the large number of teams competing in the Youth League. We are proud of our young players,” said Marinko Umičević, president of the Republika Srpska Handball Federation.

More than 100 coaches participated in the seminar.
Among the lecturers were Borko Petrović, dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and full professor of Anthropomotorics; Danijel Božić, a former handball player and now a full professor of Handball Theory and Methodology at the same faculty; master coach Slaviša Ignjić, who works as a coach in Vinkovci; Boris Šatordžija, president of the Republika Srpska Referees’ Organization; and Tanja Praštalo, an international handball referee.

The Republika Srpska Handball Federation expressed its gratitude to the management of the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Banja Luka for providing the facilities needed to hold the seminar, as well as to ORK BL, whose young handball players took part in this year’s event.
