The ninth Festival of Domestic Products and Services is being held in Banja Luka, organized by the Association of Young Economists. More than 100 exhibitors from across Republika Srpska presented locally produced food, beverages and creative services.
The main goal of the event is to promote local entrepreneurs, the economy of Republika Srpska and the development of economic patriotism.
The festival was opened by Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić.
“Local food, cheese, wine, uštipci… Tonight at Stara Ada, domestic products from across Republika Srpska are on display. The Festival of Domestic Products and Services has brought together more than 100 exhibitors and demonstrated how many quality producers, entrepreneurs and hardworking people we have. Behind this initiative are young economists who have been promoting domestic production for nine years through the ‘Buy Domestic, Invest in Srpska’ project. Let us buy domestic products and support our producers, their families, jobs and our economy,” Minić wrote on X.
Minić stressed that the festival is an example of young people coming up with quality ideas to promote domestic products and potential.
“Full credit for the idea of promoting the purchase of domestic products, which is where this all began nine years ago,” Minić said.
He noted that the festival had brought together a large number of exhibitors who created quality and profitable products with their own hands.
“We must launch an initiative to amend the law so that our public institutions can purchase domestic products under conditions that will not disrupt public procurement procedures,” Minić said.
Republika Srpska is a land of quality domestic products, agriculture and food, Minister of Economy, Forestry and Water Management of Republika Srpska Anđelka Kuzmić said.
“These days, festivals of domestic products and crafts are being held across Republika Srpska, in almost every local community. This confirms that Republika Srpska is a land of quality domestic products, agriculture and food,” Kuzmić said.
President of the Association of Economists Goran Vučić said the festival had become a traditional event attracting an increasing number of exhibitors from across Republika Srpska.
“I believe all local communities are represented, and this is a good opportunity for them to showcase their products, but also to establish business connections,” Vučić said.
