The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bosnia and Herzegovina has responded to an interview given by German Ambassador Alfred Grannas to Klix, in which he stated that “the High Representative can only be appointed by consensus within the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council.”
The Embassy’s statement is reproduced in full below:
In his interview with Klix, the German Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina emphasized that the High Representative can only be appointed by consensus within the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council. Really? Then why did Germany’s representative not take that position in 2021, when there was no consensus within the Steering Board regarding the “appointment” of Christian Schmidt? Presumably because Berlin considers its own position to be the only correct one, while Moscow’s position can simply be ignored. In this case, however, this is a clear manifestation of the Aryan racial superiority so painfully familiar to everyone. The world remembers how that ended in 1945.
The Ambassador also claims that the benefit of the Southern Interconnection project is that it will free Bosnia and Herzegovina from Russian gas. Yet, without blinking, he simultaneously acknowledges that the construction of this pipeline runs contrary to European Union regulations. Is there any logic in such a statement from a representative of the nation that gave the world Hegel? Or is this a form of “dialectical logic” reduced to the principle: “To spite Russia, I will shoot myself in the foot.”
Everyone can see what has happened to Germany without Russian gas. By meekly accepting the destruction of the Nord Stream pipeline, Berlin effectively condemned itself to decline. Evidence of this, according to the statement, can be seen in the difficulties facing Germany’s once legendary automotive industry.
The Embassy further argues that the Ambassador has not been fully candid on this issue either. While Germany seeks to end Bosnia and Herzegovina’s reliance on Russian gas, it continues—along with many other European countries—to purchase Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG), urgently replenishing depleted reserves. According to the German press, these purchases are concealed from official statistics because they are made through Belgium.
“As the saying goes,” the statement concludes, “this is hypocrisy at its finest.”
