Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabukhov visited the municipality of Rogatica today on the occasion of its patron saint’s day and Municipality Day, marking the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord.
Kalabukhov donated computer equipment and textbooks to the Sveti Sava Elementary School and held talks with Rogatica Mayor Ninoslav Prelić.
“I have to express my gratitude for the gifts we received from the Russian Embassy, which will help our teachers in their work and classes. In addition to Serbian, Russian is regularly taught at our school. Through cooperation with the Russian Embassy, we have organized screenings of Russian films and events in this area, and I am confident that our cooperation will become even better in the coming period,” Prelić said.
Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabukhov expressed satisfaction that the Embassy was able to provide assistance.
“Today I saw a connection between history and the future — Rogatica’s glorious history, while the future lies with the younger generations. We visited the school, and I am very pleased that its students have the opportunity to learn Russian. It is a great pleasure for us to be able to help to some extent,” Kalabukhov said.
