Whenever Denis Bećirović loses a political battle, he runs to the crippled Constitutional Court, convinced that Bosniak and foreign judges will give him what neither the Constitution nor Dayton gave him, Staša Košarac, deputy chair of the Council of Ministers, said.
Košarac pointed out that the attempt to bring foreign members back into the Commission to Preserve National Monuments is a Bosniak political project aimed at rewriting history, erasing the Serb cultural identity, creating a “false Bosnian heritage” and opening space for the seizure of Republika Srpska property.
“That is why he is bothered by the veto of the Serb member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency, Željka Cvijanović. That is why he is bothered by the unanimous support of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. That is why he is bothered by every constitutional right of Republika Srpska and by the fact that we do not accept political dictates from Sarajevo,” Košarac said.
He added that Bećirović’s obsession with Republika Srpska давно has gone beyond the bounds of political struggle and that his only agenda is a showdown with Republika Srpska.
According to him, Željka Cvijanović’s veto was “a fully constitutional, legitimate and responsible act of protecting the interests of Republika Srpska and the Serb people,” while the support of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska showed that, when it comes to defending the constitutional position of Republika Srpska, there is unity that no appeal can overturn.
“It is high time Bosniak politicians understood reality — the state leadership of Republika Srpska and its institutions will never ask Sarajevo for permission to protect Republika Srpska’s constitutional position and the interests of the Serb people, or to use the rights guaranteed by Dayton and the Constitution,” Košarac wrote on Instagram.
