Two exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska

Two exhibitions from the Museum of Naive and Marginal Art, “Lazar Vujaklija: Protest Toward Himself” and “Conscious Abandonment of Reality: Ilija Bosilj and Sava Sekulić”, will open on Thursday, July 9, at 8 p.m. at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka.

According to the announcement, the exhibitions offer new readings of the works of Ilija Bosilj, Sava Sekulić and Lazar Vujaklija, exploring visionary art, personal mythologies and authentic artistic languages that marked 20th-century art.

The exhibitions will remain open until September 3, 2026.

The curator of the exhibition “Conscious Abandonment of Reality: Ilija Bosilj and Sava Sekulić” is Dr Ivana Bašičević Antić.

The curators of the exhibition “Lazar Vujaklija: Protest Toward Himself” are Danica Đorđević Janković and Vladimir Kokoruš.

The coordinator of the exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska is senior curator Lana Pavlović.
