Republika Srpska is once again welcoming children from Kosovo and Metohija as part of the humanitarian and cultural project “Let’s Connect the Children of Kosovo and Metohija and Republika Srpska”.
Around 800 children, teachers and young people with developmental disabilities are arriving in Republika Srpska today and will stay until 26 June in approximately 20 local communities across the entity.
Twenty cities and municipalities are participating in this year’s project, while the municipality of Kostajnica is hosting the programme for the first time.
More than 50 children will be accommodated in Banja Luka, despite the fact that the city administration did not officially support the project.
The initiative aims to strengthen ties between children from Kosovo and Metohija and Republika Srpska through friendship, cultural exchange and shared experiences with host families and local communities.
