Changes at Borac: New addition to the coaching staff

A regular session of the Assembly of FK Borac was held in the club’s Trophy Hall, where several important changes were approved.

Saša Kajkut, the former director of the club’s youth academy, was unanimously appointed as the new Technical Director of FK Borac.

Kajkut achieved notable results through his dedicated work with the youth academy and will now take on new responsibilities in his upgraded role within the club structure.

Negotiations are currently underway with several candidates for the position of Youth Academy Director, and the public will be informed in due course about the appointment of a new head of the academy.

Borac’s coaching staff has also been strengthened with the arrival of Igor Mirković, who joins the first-team staff as an assistant coach. Mirković previously served as head coach of BSK.

In recent years, he led Borac’s U-17 team to the Bosnia and Herzegovina championship title and later crowned his coaching career by winning the First League of Republika Srpska with BSK.

The club expects the team to continue achieving strong results in all competitions next season, with a particular focus on securing another successful European campaign.

“The delegates were informed about the progress of the transfer window, as well as the plans for celebrating the club’s 100th anniversary. The anniversary academy has already been held, while the team presentation is scheduled for July 3, followed by the release of a club monograph and a documentary film. The club director also informed the delegates about the financial situation and the progress of the roof construction project,” said Bogoljub Zeljković after the Assembly session.

Construction work on the roof structure above the eastern stand has entered its final phase and is expected to be completed by the end of June.

The Assembly concluded that continued investment in the development of FK Borac’s infrastructure remains one of the club’s key priorities.
