More than one hundred participants from 20 countries are arriving in Banja Luka for the summit. Distinguished figures from politics, security, diplomacy, and business circles from the United States and Europe will take part, with particular attention focused on participants close to the new American administration. Three panel discussions will be organized, featuring officials from Republika Srpska.
The first European Economic and Security Summit is an event placing Republika Srpska at the center of international relations these days.

Representatives of American political and security circles, European politicians, economic experts, and analysts are arriving in the largest city of Republika Srpska. At a time of deep geopolitical divisions and increasingly visible global rivalries, Republika Srpska is sending a message that it seeks dialogue with both the West and the East while protecting its own interests and political position.
- I believe this is very important, and I say that from the perspective of someone coming from America, important for America as well. We have participants from around 20 countries, so this is truly an international conference, and I am glad that Banja Luka is hosting it. We hope this is not only the first one, but that it will become something held several times a year because I think everyone will recognize its value. The topics here are economy and security, two issues that are extremely relevant globally – said American businessman and summit participant Ranko Ristić.
Particular attention has been drawn by the arrival of figures close to the administration of US President Donald Trump, including retired General Michael Flynn and Eli Gold, leading figures of the Gold Institute. Their presence is viewed by many as a signal of opening new channels of communication with Washington and confirmation that Republika Srpska is becoming a topic of discussion among circles close to the current American administration.
- This institute is a new organization completely connected to the anti-globalist foreign policy that defined President Trump’s campaign and the MAGA movement in the United States. Secondly, as a new institute directly connected to this administration, it has already made significant progress in terms of influence and importance in debates regarding American foreign policy. Another reason is very simple: this confirms that Republika Srpska has entered the core of the new administration – said Ambassador and Head of the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU Obrad Kesić.
At the same time, Republika Srpska is not abandoning its traditionally good relations with Moscow. For this reason, analysts assess that Banja Luka is becoming one of the rare places in Europe where representatives of different global political concepts are sitting at the same table.
- It is very important to understand that even smaller countries can actually become places that connect rather than divide. Messages are now being sent from Banja Luka toward Moscow, Washington, and European capitals that speak about a new security architecture, new economic challenges, and ways cooperation can be developed, including through Banja Luka as a bridge between Moscow and Washington – said international relations expert Luciano Kaluža.
The summit will focus on Europe’s security architecture, energy stability, investments, infrastructure, and the position of Republika Srpska and the Balkans in a new multipolar world. Particular emphasis will also be placed on economic opportunities, regional development, and presenting Republika Srpska as a space open to investments and new partnerships.
