Gold Institute to organize first European Summit on Economy and Security in Banja Luka

The first European Summit on Economy and Security, organized by the Gold Institute for International Strategy, will be held in Banja Luka on Thursday, May 28.

The summit will begin at 9:30 a.m. with an official opening ceremony and welcome address by Michael Flynn, president of the Gold Institute, as well as speeches by representatives of the institutions of Republika Srpska.

The event will take place in the conference hall of the Hotel Terme.

More than 100 participants from over 20 countries are expected to attend, including prominent figures from the worlds of business, security, diplomacy, and politics.

According to the organizers, the summit aims to promote Republika Srpska as a venue for international dialogue, while the work of the Banja Luka branch — also the first European branch of the institute — will provide opportunities for communication and cooperation with statesmen, senior advisers, and experts in fields of major importance to citizens.

The summit agenda includes panel discussions on topics such as “The development of European and transatlantic security architecture and its implications for the Balkans,” and “Economic resilience, regional integration, and investment opportunities in Balkan economies.”

Additional panel discussions will address “Hybrid threats, information operations, and the struggle for influence in Southeast Europe,” “Energy, infrastructure, and connectivity as tools of both cooperation and coercion,” and “The role of democratic institutions, governance, and the rule of law in supporting security and growth.”

During the summit, the first European office of the Gold Institute, headquartered in Banja Luka, will also be officially opened, with organizers stating that additional details will be announced later.
