Željka Cvijanović expressed gratitude to Yechiel Leiter for the invitation to attend the celebration of Israel’s Independence Day in Washington.
“Cooperation between Republika Srpska and Israel is based on sincere friendship, strong historical ties, and we remain firmly committed to further strengthening that relationship. This event was also an opportunity to meet and speak with Energy Secretary in President Trump’s administration Chris Wright and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee,” Cvijanović wrote on the social network X.
She added that it was a particular pleasure to meet her longtime friend Malcolm Hoenlein, a prominent representative of the Jewish community in the United States.
Cvijanović began her three-day visit to the United States with a meeting in Congress with Republican Representative Randy Fine.
