Victory Day over Fascism will be commemorated today in Banja Luka, organized by the Committee of the Government of Republika Srpska for nurturing the tradition of liberation wars.
The “Immortal Regiment” march will begin from Petar Kočić Park, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at Square of Fallen Fighters, where flowers will be placed at the monument dedicated to victims of fascism.
On the occasion of Victory Day, the Ambassador of Russia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Kalabukhov, will host a reception at Banski Dvor.
Victory Day is a public holiday in Republika Srpska.
President of the association “Immortal Regiment of Srpska,” Milana Babić, emphasized that preserving the culture of remembrance is of great importance.
