The multipolar world is already a reality, and countries must now position themselves correctly under the new circumstances, said Alexander Grushko.
Speaking at a forum on geopolitical developments, Grushko said the Russian Federation would also advocate for this reality to be reflected in decision-making within the United Nations.
He warned, however, that the West still sees the Balkans as its sphere of influence, describing the role of Christian Schmidt as a mechanism used to undermine international law.
“Unfortunately, I can state this clearly: the West’s struggle to preserve its hegemony destabilizes the Balkans, because states in the region are forced into an artificial choice — if you are not with us, you are against us. Balkan countries are deprived of the right to pursue independent policies, complete submission is demanded, and politicians who place national interests first are demonized,” Grushko said.
SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said the greatest danger for the Serb people coming from Europe is the growing influence and militarization of Germany.
“When Germany militarizes, our historical experience tells us that peoples around us begin preparing for war, sharpening their knives. The recent military alliance between Croatia, Albania and the Albanians is essentially nothing more than an extended arm,” Dodik said.
He also claimed that internal power relations in the European Union are changing.
“Decision-making in the European Union is changing. Six countries, the so-called coalition of the willing, will decide everything. And the rest? You are expected to follow. If you are in the European Union, you must follow unconditionally. But what if they mobilize you to fight against Russia? What then?” Dodik asked.
President of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan said relations with Russia are therefore important, adding that the leadership of Republika Srpska cooperates with all those who respect its international subjectivity.
“We are no longer on the table as an object or a problem. We are at the table, and in the most important places, where we present and explain our position, which is already recognized. In that sense, we have already changed the image of Republika Srpska within that narrative,” Karan said.
Also speaking at the forum was Igor Kalabukhov.
Among those present were ministers of the Government of Republika Srpska, members of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, representatives in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, business leaders and numerous figures from political and public life in Republika Srpska.
