A promotion of the book Svesrbi – Defend Yourselves in an All-Serb Manner by Petar Aškraba Zagorski was held in Foča. The publication is presented as a continuation of one of his earlier works, Sasrbljenje Srba Rasrbljenih.
During the event, speakers emphasized the importance of unity, gathering, and stronger connections among Serbs in order to preserve identity and continuity in the Balkans.
In the book, Aškraba Zagorski writes about the historical suffering of the Serb people, as well as accusations, plunder, and dispossession throughout different periods. He states that, based on his research, Serbs in the Balkans have faced various forms of denationalization since ancient times.
The author also seeks to offer possible paths toward not only unity, but deeper national awareness and self-understanding.
Through genealogies and surnames, the book explores themes of origin and identity, while stressing the importance of mutual connection and warning against attempts to erase the Serb name and historical presence.
Svesrbi – Defend Yourselves in an All-Serb Manner is the 18th book by Petar Aškraba Zagorski, whose works focus on bringing readers closer to questions of heritage, ancestry, and the preservation of Serb cultural identity.
