The president of Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, Milorad Dodik, said today in Belgrade that Republika Srpska is fundamentally threatened by a military alliance between Croatia, Albania and Kosovo, which he described as an alliance directed against the Serb people.
“We are concerned, especially given that the Croat component in Bosnia and Herzegovina is aligned with those concepts. This alliance must remain under the attention of Republika Srpska and Serbia. It is a destabilizing factor in the region,” Dodik said.
He emphasized that the alliance’s goal is to endanger the security of Serbs, adding that the defensive capacity of the Serbian Armed Forces guarantees peace for the Serb people.
Dodik reiterated that the policy of Republika Srpska is military neutrality and that all its actions are directed toward the defense of its territory and population.
“At a time when the global world is facing wars, it is important to note that the commitment to strengthening the Serbian Armed Forces is impressive. For us coming from Republika Srpska, this was an opportunity to witness the determination for it to be not only ready for action, but also a deterrent force,” Dodik said after a meeting with Aleksandar Vučić and representatives of Serbia’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from Republika Srpska and Serbia, including representatives of political and security institutions.
