Republika Srpska is presenting itself in the best possible light and positioning itself internationally in the best possible way, Milorad Dodik said, pointing to the recent visit to the United States by Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović.
Dodik said that following his recent visit to Israel, he plans to travel to Russia and later to Chicago.
“This certainly contributes to the stability of our Republika and to Republika Srpska’s international advancement. For years, for decades, we were treated as something negative, as something unworthy, but for decades we have also worked to build friendships and explain our positions to our friends in Israel and Russia,” Dodik said.
He argued that Republika Srpska has become increasingly recognizable internationally, pointing in particular to its relations with Russia and Israel.
“Today everyone knows about Republika Srpska. Ask Vladimir Putin — he knows about Republika Srpska, and the same is true in Israel,” Dodik said.
He also announced plans to visit Chicago in November, saying the trip would provide an opportunity for additional international contacts.
“It will be an opportunity to meet many important people. We maintain these contacts, and we also cooperate with European political communities and parties. That cooperation is based on this kind of communication,” Dodik said.
Dodik said Republika Srpska would continue its international activities and contacts with partners in an effort to strengthen its position and contribute to its political and economic stability.
