“Days of Russian Film” opens in Bratunac

With the screening of a film about the Russian count Sava Vladislavich Raguzinsky, the “Days of Russian Film” opened in Bratunac. This is the tenth anniversary event promoting Russian cinematography, culture, and art.

The author of the film about Count Sava Vladislavich, journalist and travel writer Boško Kozarski, said that the story highlights the unbreakable ties between the Serbian and Russian peoples.

“We want people to understand that we had a great ancestor who was almost forgotten,” Kozarski said.

Branko Vukomanović, an expert consultant on the film’s production, noted that it tells the story of a man from this region who went to Russia and became an adviser to the Russian tsar, where he carried out major deeds for the Russian Empire.

The ties between the Serbian and Russian peoples are unbreakable, representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bosnia and Herzegovina said, adding that they can only grow stronger through events such as the Russian Film Review.

The organizer of the “Days of Russian Film,” which will run until February 13, is the Bratunac Cultural Center, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
