Siniša Karan, the SNSD candidate, is the winner of the repeat election and the new president of Republika Srpska.
According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after all polling stations were processed, Karan won a total of 224,384 votes, or 50.54 percent. The SDS candidate, Branko Blanuša, received 213,513 votes, or 48.09 percent.
In the repeat election for president of Republika Srpska, 41,826 voters cast ballots, representing 49.51 percent of the total number of eligible voters.
