The leader of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, stated that the Office of the High Representative (OHR) must disappear, since it has continuously worked to undermine the existence and development of Republika Srpska.
“Various corrupt figures have kept the OHR in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 30 years in an attempt to destroy international law and eliminate Republika Srpska — but they have failed,” Dodik said.
He reminded that certain rights were taken away from Srpska, but emphasized that it will never renounce them, stressing that Serbs in BiH are interested only in what is guaranteed by the Constitution — a framework based on two entities and three constituent peoples.
“If Bosnia cannot return to its constitutional order, then it does not deserve to exist. That is our position, which we have repeated for years — and I believe the awareness of this is now maturing,” Dodik stated.
Referring to what he called a shameful political process against him as President of Republika Srpska, Dodik said that the OHR no longer has any purpose.
“It makes no sense whatsoever. Some naïve people among us still think we should maintain contact with them — I believe that’s over. The OHR must disappear, and that is the minimum condition for any meaningful dialogue here,” he said.
Dodik added that the next step must be a return to the constitutional framework — and if that is not possible, then “there is no reason for Serbs to remain there.”
“That’s our position. Republika Srpska is not destroying anything — others have already done that. Srpska only wants what was agreed upon and signed,” he underlined.
He pointed out that when Bosniak leaders began violating the Dayton Agreement, they were the ones who dismantled Bosnia and Herzegovina, while now trying to shift the blame to Srpska.
“We have nothing against cooperation. Two entities and three constituent peoples — as was reaffirmed before the UN Security Council — and the era of international interventionism must end,” Dodik said, calling on Bosniak representatives to engage in dialogue.
He concluded that if there are matters of mutual interest — such as maintaining the Armed Forces or other joint structures — these can remain, but under far clearer arrangements.
“It’s been proven that the Court and Prosecutor’s Office were created solely to target Republika Srpska and its people. That cannot continue,” Dodik concluded.
