Prijedor: Poetry evening dedicated to Miroslav Mika Antić

As part of the 53rd Literary Encounters on Kozara, a poetry evening titled “All the Colors of the World” dedicated to Miroslav Mika Antić was held at the Sreten Stojanović Gallery in Prijedor.

In addition to his literary work, Miroslav Mika Antić was also a visual artist, director, sailor, and athlete. He used to say that he “lived many lives in one.”

“He himself once said that he lived a thousand lives in a single lifetime, and he told the truth. People will always return to his poetry because the best of his verses are meant for children, for those who have preserved the child within themselves—and there are many of us like that. The child within us will always return to Mika’s poetry,” said Miloš Zubac, writer and stage storyteller.

The guest writer of this year’s Encounters was Pero Zubac, last year’s recipient of the Skender Kulenović – Literary Wreath of Kozara award.

“It is truly a great pleasure and joy that within the framework of the 53rd Literary Encounters we have an evening dedicated to Mika Antić,” said Boris Eremić, director of the Sreten Stojanović Gallery in Prijedor.

As part of the program, tomorrow the City Reading Room of the Ćirilo i Metodije National Library in Prijedor will present the literary opus of Vasilije Karan.
