Kaluža: Intensifying cooperation – a message that Hungary does not recognize the decisions of the illegitimate foreigner in BiH

At the meeting between the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Budapest, it was clearly stated that mutual cooperation will be intensified, which is at the same time a message that Hungary does not recognize the decisions imposed in BiH by an illegitimate foreigner, assessed international relations expert Lučijano Kaluža.

Kaluža said that this is also a message to the EU that one of its member states is siding with justice and fairness in the shaping of a new geopolitical order.

“Hungary definitely counts on Republika Srpska as a friend, and Srpska counts on Hungary as well, and such relations will certainly intensify in the coming period in many areas,” said Kaluža.

He emphasized that, after Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also did not accept the decisions stemming from institutions that operate unconstitutionally in BiH.

“Orbán is doing nothing more than recognizing and respecting the acts of institutions within BiH, and not the decisions of an imposed foreigner who is trying to undermine the entire socio-political system,” Kaluža noted.

He stressed that Orbán’s support for President Dodik clearly shows not only that Hungary is a friend of Srpska, but also that by supporting Republika Srpska, Hungary is supporting the Dayton BiH as well, which is a clear message to all who are well-intentioned.

Orbán wrote on his account after yesterday’s meeting in Budapest that it was a pleasure to meet with the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.

After the meeting in Budapest, Dodik stated that talks on cooperation in all areas had continued, from agriculture and economy to politics, and that the friendship with Hungary and Orbán shows that a Europe of common sense exists and that Republika Srpska has an ally in it.

Cvijanović said that Republika Srpska and Hungary share many common positions and believe that unelected foreign bureaucrats cannot impose their will on sovereign countries and democratically elected representatives of the people, neither in BiH nor in the EU.
