The literary opus of writer Vasilije Karan was presented in Prijedor as part of the Kozara Literary Encounters. His published works bear witness to the events on Kozara and in Potkozarje.
Alongside fifty literary works, Karan also published war reports, monodramas, and radio dramas. During the Second World War, on Kozara, he was separated from his parents and managed to survive the wartime days in the mountains. He dedicated several of his works to that period as a form of remembrance. At the presentation, he introduced the novel Blue Light.
In addition to Blue Light, part of Vasilije Karan’s literary opus was presented as well.
As part of the Literary Encounters, an evening dedicated to Ljubomir Simović, a Serb writer, translator, and academic, will be held tonight at the “Sreten Stojanović” Gallery.
