The closed consultations of the UN Security Council have shown that the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina has escalated to such an extent that the international community is once again discussing the country, international relations expert Luciano Kaluža told RTRS.
He pointed out that the great powers are once again negotiating the future of BiH, which is once again “on the table.”
“Russia initiated this move, recognizing that the security situation in BiH is threatened due to the illegal verdict against the President of Republika Srpska,” Kaluža stated.
He emphasized that Schmidt is illegitimate and a generator of crisis in BiH—something Russia has clearly recognized.
An open session of the UN Security Council is expected as well, he added.
Kaluža stressed that it is never good when decisions are made without the people, or their elected representatives. He pointed out that the countries supporting the unelected and illegitimate Christian Schmidt had previously been warned that such problems could arise.
