Staša Košarac, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated that the working team and entity structures are currently drafting the new Reform Agenda and that he expects the document to be submitted to Brussels. However, he emphasized that without the Coordination Mechanism, there can be no progress on BiH’s EU path.
Košarac explained that the reform plan has been harmonized between the entities and the working team representatives, noting that while some technical differences remain, the plan is aligned and will go through institutional decision-making processes.
“There is a foundation Republika Srpska will not abandon,” Košarac said during a media statement in Sarajevo.
He stressed that past attempts to undermine or ignore the Coordination Mechanism have failed.
“The Coordination Mechanism will be implemented. It is a mechanism agreed upon in this country, and the SNSD and representatives of Republika Srpska firmly maintain that there will be no movement whatsoever without it. If anyone believes they can centralize institutions while bypassing Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH, or the cantons—they are gravely mistaken,” Košarac concluded.
