Pavlović: Schmidt was willing to endanger rabbis and the Jewish community in Sarajevo

“It is shocking that Christian Schmidt initiated the gathering of rabbis in Sarajevo — he invited them and insisted they come, despite being fully aware of the degree of radicalization in Sarajevo. It is unbelievable that he was willing to endanger the rabbis. He put both the rabbis and the Jewish community in Sarajevo at risk,” said Dušan Pavlović, Director of the Center for Socio-Political Research of Republika Srpska, speaking on RTRS’s Morning Program.

Pavlović pointed out that this is why federal media tried to conceal the event.

“Everything Schmidt is doing here — Germany is directly responsible for it, and one day this will have consequences. The man has in mind how to gain serious political and financial benefits. We know Schmidt is linked to Nazi structures from World War II. Now he is retreating, staying silent, and even trying to redirect this discontent and possible conflict — together with Germany — toward other nations, in order to once again bring misery to this region. I hope that there will be enough wisdom among honorable and honest Muslims to recognize that all of us in Bosnia and Herzegovina are being treated as an inferior race. I expect we will find a way out of all this,” said Pavlović.

He stressed that it is essential for all of us who have suffered significant damage due to the cancellation of this rabbinical gathering in Sarajevo to find a way to communicate with the free world and make it clear that we do not support political Islam.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina has never been, nor will it ever be, an Islamist state as long as we are here. We do not want to bear the consequences of the actions of the ‘Muslim Brotherhood’. We expect Bosnia and Herzegovina to be recognized as a country of three constituent peoples and two entities,” emphasized Pavlović.

Speaking about the statement made by Pinchas Goldschmidt, President of the Conference of European Rabbis, in which he said they had decided to call for the suspension of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU accession talks due to the cancellation of the Sarajevo event, Pavlović noted that this implies they perceive Bosnia and Herzegovina as an Islamic state.

“It is important to understand that we in Republika Srpska and Serbia are unfortunately victims of the narratives from the 1990s. We need to take a step back and re-examine what happened during that time. The SDA is just one wing of the global pan-Islamist structure of the ‘Muslim Brotherhood’. This is a project to create an Islamic state. No Muslim can be identified anymore as a Serb or Croat — only as a Bosniak,” said Pavlović.

He concluded that political Sarajevo is under the control of the “Muslim Brotherhood” narrative.

“None of them are willing to admit that a historic Christian community — the Serb one — was destroyed in Sarajevo. Croats also had to leave Sarajevo. Now even Jews are no longer welcome. A process of dehumanizing entire peoples is underway, where no one is welcome except Muslims. And even traditional Muslims are not welcome,” Pavlović warned.

He added that it is no coincidence that the rabbis were declared unwelcome in Sarajevo.

“This is just the tip of the iceberg. The hotel director where the rabbis were supposed to stay is the daughter of Alija Izetbegović. The FBiH Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Adnan Delić, is the son of General Rasim Delić. The seeds were sown long ago, and there is no turning back. Now we are seeing the consequences,” concluded Pavlović.
