President of the Socialist Party of Srpska Goran Selak called on all political parties from Republika Srpska, as well as Serbian parties from the Federation of BiH, both from the government and opposition, to unite through the formation of a single Serbian electoral list in the Federation of BiH.
Selak stressed that national unity is necessary when it comes to protecting the rights and interests of the Serbian people living in the Federation of BiH.
“We call on all political parties and all our people based in Republika Srpska to move forward together as a Serbian list and appear united in the Federation of BiH. We must unite and help our people, who live in difficult conditions, far from the eyes of the public and institutions,” Selak said.
He emphasized that the Serbian people in the Federation of BiH must receive stronger institutional, political and national support from Republika Srpska.
“It is our duty to preserve Serbian property in the Federation of BiH, to protect our holy sites, the Serbian Orthodox Church and our Serbian cemeteries. This is not a political issue, but a matter of national responsibility and respect for our people and our ancestors,” Selak stated.
He added that unity and solidarity are essential in order to preserve the national dignity of the Serbian people wherever Serbs live.
