Borac defeats Posušje, Radnik secures Premier League survival

The footballers of Borac Banja Luka bid farewell to their fans in the Premier League with a victory over Posušje. Head coach Mladen Žižović received ovations from the home crowd.

Borac lived up to their role as favorites against Posušje but, following Zrinjski’s win, were definitively left without the championship title in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite the disappointment over the title, the club takes pride in their performances in European competitions.

Žižović received a standing ovation at City Stadium today—a gesture of appreciation from the Banja Luka crowd for extending his contract with the red-and-blues.

Borac will have a chance to claim a trophy next week. On Wednesday, they will face Leotar at City Stadium in the final match of the Republika Srpska Cup.

Next year, Football Club Borac will celebrate its 100th anniversary. There is no greater motivation to make an even greater leap forward and bring trophies back to Banja Luka.

Meanwhile, Mostar’s Zrinjski are the new champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Radnik from Bijeljina has secured its place in the Premier League.
