Since the unconstitutional attempt to secede from Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina has never functioned as a unified state, as its institutions have been divided along ethnic lines and have never exercised effective authority over the entire territory of BiH. Sovereign authority, as a fundamental characteristic of any state, has never existed, making any discussion of state-legal continuity in BiH irrelevant, stated the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in an interview for europeanconservative.com.
Dodik pointed out that these are “historical facts that must be viewed with maturity, responsibility, and composure.”
The President of Srpska emphasized that “the illegitimate Christian Schmidt is imposing legal amendments and defining criminal offenses, while the unconstitutional Prosecutor’s Office and Court are conducting proceedings in an attempt to humiliate Republika Srpska and its institutions.”
“This was not a trial against me but against the institutions of Srpska. A below-average German diplomat, falsely presenting himself as a high representative, tried to convince people here that his will is above all of us,” Dodik stated.
He reiterated that Srpska is committed to preserving the Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“However, decades of extensive and insidious intervention by the international community, global actors, and Bosniak politicians have placed BiH at a crossroads between two dialogues: a dialogue on returning to the Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina or a dialogue on peaceful separation,” Dodik noted.
