Sunny weather, morning fog, and clear nights provided inspiration for early risers as well as photographers working into the night.
“Magical mornings, the springs of Sana, stunning sunsets, and clear, starry nights filled our time with learning, exploring, creating, and bonding far from all kinds of pollution,” wrote Tadić on the Svjetlopis page.
In the village of Pecka, near Mrkonjić Grad, the Sana River emerges from three major springs and the estavelle Mračaj, representing a hydrological gem. Just 15 kilometers from Pecka, the Pliva River also has its source.
Above the village rises a ridge of rocks that gave Pecka its name, now the largest climbing area in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In Roman times, the settlement of Sarnade was located in Gornja Pecka, where a Roman road once passed through. Across Pecka and the surrounding villages, ten cycling trails and numerous hiking paths are mapped along Roman and gravel roads.
The peaks of the high mountains of Krajina—Dimitor, Vitorog, Klekovača, and Šator—are visible to the naked eye and are easily accessible from Pecka.
