The traditional event “Mushroom Days” gathered around 350 participants in Mrkonjić Grad from BiH, Serbia, and Croatia.
Mihajlo Lazendić, president of the Hiking and Ecological Society “Vidik” from Mrkonjić Grad, which organizes this event, told Srna that participants gathered near Balkana Lake, where they were divided into two groups—one taking an easier route and the other a more challenging one—for walking and mushroom collecting.
- “Participants walked until 2:00 PM, trying to collect as many mushrooms as possible, while also enjoying the natural beauty of this area, socializing, and the sunny autumn day. Afterwards, lunch was served for all participants,” Lazendić noted.
He also mentioned that there was a mushroom exhibition prepared by Radinka Radulović, a member of the association, and attended by local mushroom expert Rade Gašić.
