The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that the Americans and the British are responsible for the blockade of the House of Peoples in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), as they backed Christian Schmidt’s illegitimate mandate and gave Bosniaks the freedom to do as they please.
- “All this time, we have been insisting on the consistent application and respect of the Dayton Agreement, fighting to ensure everything operates according to the Constitution. However, Michael Murphy has destroyed all that for his own personal interests,” Dodik said in an interview with Srna.
When asked to comment on the recent statement from the U.S. Embassy accusing SDA and Bosniak delegates of collecting cheap political points by falsely presenting themselves as defenders of BiH from phantom threats, Dodik responded that the SDA cadre, with a questionable wartime biography, controls all processes and institutions at the joint level, which were established by foreigners to persecute dissenters.
- “The problem arose when Bakir became emboldened, and the SDA cadre began acting independently, without seeking permission from the Americans. That’s why they resorted to their failed ‘Trojka’ project,” Dodik explained.
The President of Srpska emphasized that Michael Murphy’s statement, that “legislative bodies in democracies worldwide always debate bad, even unconstitutional laws, and then vote them down,” represents yet another humiliation for Dayton BiH, where, with the backing of the Americans and through their power, one man who falsely presents himself has placed himself above the Parliamentary Assembly and started imposing his own rules, declaring them as laws.
- “Murphy has destroyed every agreement with the Bosniaks and has paralyzed the functioning of constitutional BiH. Now, he is trying to blind us with stories and warnings about the SDA. What the SDA is doing today and their control of the judiciary was enabled by America, and that’s something Murphy will have to explain to his superiors,” Dodik asserted.
He added that every message from an American representative is essentially a directive for the Court of BiH on how to operate, and Bakir Izetbegović publicly admitted this himself.
- “Bakir admitted that the international community is behind the fabricated process that was set up against me, and then Michael Murphy suddenly rises up to attack the SDA with all his might. He can try to clean his hands all he wants, but everyone here knows that America has been supporting Bakir for years, and what he says is true,” Dodik emphasized.
He pointed out that it is enough to read the biography of Sena Uzunović, who presents herself as a judge, but is in fact Bakir’s cadre, to understand why the farce in the court is being expedited and that things are not clean there.
- “We don’t need to explain anything. Every reasonable person can see that she is not impartial and that in this politically staged process against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the acting director of the ‘Official Gazette’, she has a task to fulfill. They thought they could mock all the laws and deny basic rights to every individual, but they can’t. And they won’t. This process best exposes the way the SDA operates and where they derive their legitimacy,” Dodik highlighted.
TODAY’S BOSNIAN MUSLIM REPRESENTATIVES ARE FROM THE SDA, JUST UNDER DIFFERENT NAMES
Commenting on the recent media appearance of Elmedin Konaković, where he claimed that he opposes the blockade of the House of Peoples by all Bosniak delegates, including Kemal Ademović from his Narod i Pravda party, Dodik said that, as he predicted, the “tied-up” minister has once again started making promises to both the Americans and Europeans, and is “tying himself down” as instructed.
- “It’s simply unbelievable that someone like Dino exists without a shred of integrity or character. He says he doesn’t support the blockade, yet a man from his party is the main leader of it. And he supposedly doesn’t support it because he has a different approach. I don’t know who they think they’re lying to or making fools of — do they really think everyone in the EU is illiterate and understands nothing? They blocked the House of Peoples to show that the Bosniaks are in control. The Constitutional Court is the main topic, the departure of foreign judges is a priority, and the shutdown of the OHR is essential for BiH’s survival. These are all issues we must resolve, and which the Bosniaks oppose. Who are they lying to? Certainly not Republika Srpska. As far as we’re concerned, we’ve done most of the work regarding the European path, and Republika Srpska has been leading these processes,” Dodik explained.
He pointed out that the Bosniaks have taken advantage of the fact that they have the Foreign Minister and the Ambassador to the UN, using international bodies to spread falsehoods and undermine institutions. This is the result of the American “Trojka” within Schmidt’s project.
- “We extended our hand and said let’s work. They promised to unblock everything that the SDA had been obstructing for years, but instead, they’ve shown that they’re even worse and haven’t honored a single agreement. If they think they’re deceiving us, they’re gravely mistaken. We recognized that deceptive and backroom politics long ago,” Dodik stated.
He said the authorities in Republika Srpska have no reason to trust such structures in the Federation of BiH. “Even their own people no longer trust them, if they ever did. They promised them change and development, but they’ve only copied everything the SDA does. They don’t have their own policy because they are an offshoot of the SDA,” Dodik added.
The President of Srpska pointed out that today’s representatives of Bosnian Muslims come from the SDA, they follow the SDA’s policies, think like the SDA, and are undermining Dayton BiH just like the SDA, all in an effort to create a unitary BiH.
- “They just go by different names, but it’s clear that they are all working together with the goal of harming Republika Srpska. Narod i Pravda is an SDA project, as are the other so-called civic Sarajevo parties. There is not even a trace of ‘civic’ there, but plenty of radical Islamic influence. And we’re supposed to negotiate with them? If there were any possibility of agreement and cooperation, we would already be in the EU, but we’re not, precisely because of the way these structures operate. It’s well-known who is working against BiH and whose activities are a potential security threat,” Dodik emphasized.
He stressed that these threats do not come from Republika Srpska but from Bosnian Muslims, and everyone knows it, but due to political correctness, they remain silent and stick to the established narrative of blaming the Serbs, who are always blamed for everything simply because they aren’t afraid to speak the truth.
- “We leave it to polished politicians to adhere to political correctness, while we will continue to speak out loud and clear until someone decides to take these threats seriously, as we know where they are coming from. Certainly not from Srpska,” the President of Srpska concluded.
PUTTING ANIMOSITIES ASIDE, SRPSKA IS ABOVE ALL OF US AND ABOVE EVERYTHING
Reflecting on the recent local elections in Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, as well as various statements about relations within the ruling coalition and developments among the opposition, Dodik, who is also the leader of the SNSD, the largest political party that achieved a convincing victory in the recent elections, emphasized that the common task of everyone in both the government and opposition is to strengthen Republika Srpska and work for the greater good of all its residents.
- “That’s something everyone engaging in cheap populism must keep in mind. I will always extend a hand and support ideas that are good for everyone, but we will not remain silent on malicious attacks. The world is facing significant challenges. Republika Srpska is seeking its place and looking for ways to position itself best. The future tells us that only united can we progress and grow stronger,” Dodik warned.
He emphasized that he respects every politician who has the courage and desire to lead a patriotic policy.
- “My message to all who love Republika Srpska is that they must not take the current circumstances lightly. Our task is to ensure that Republika Srpska grows stronger and to prevent those who hate Serbs from implementing their policies and taking away our rights,” Dodik said.
He added that while the political representatives of Bosnian Muslims, supported by some foreigners, are devising ways to harm the Serbs and weaken Srpska, the main concern of the so-called opposition representatives in Srpska, following their disastrous results, is who will lead them.
- “In the elections, they offered a whole lot of nothing, and the citizens recognized that. They’ve exhausted both us and the people with their infighting and personal frustrations, which they’ve carried into their work in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, into the streets among the people, and into their mutual accusations, all while showing visible inactivity and a complete lack of responsibility. They are against everything that exists, and it seems they are working the most against themselves. The opposition in Srpska doesn’t exist — there are just some structures close to foreign actors who can’t agree on how to win their favor and how to achieve victory. The policies they pursue are failures, and the people have spoken loudly,” Dodik remarked, adding that the people are tired of their constant bickering, egos, spins, and everything else, without a single result or idea that the people see as good or smart.
He assessed thatit doesn’t matter who leads the opposition in their downfall, as that won’t change the fact that they lack both a program and vision, and every day they stray further from what the Serb people want.
- “Many of them tried to use the elections to show they had some support from the people so they could present something to foreign actors, but the truth is that the only role they can play is that of troublemakers, noisemakers, and mere provocateurs. They know nothing better, and they can’t do anything better,” Dodik concluded.
BECAUSE OF MILAN MILIČEVIĆ’S POLICIES AND THOSE LIKE HIM, SDS IS ON LIFE SUPPORT
When asked to comment on the statement of SDS President Milan Miličević that in the overall election results, the only two political parties that have approximately the same results as in 2020 are SDS and SNSD, President Dodik responded that because of the policies of Milan Miličević and others like him, SDS is on life support, and every patriot can see that this is not the SDS’s policy, that they have gone astray, and that is why they are losing more support every day.
- “Maybe Draško Stanivuković and Ljubiša Petrović managed to make some results, but that can’t hide the failure of all the opposition parties. The elections showed that their lies are transparent and that no one will support them to continue doing nothing. The opposition parties, which were in power in some local communities and are now at rock bottom, should explain this to their voters and take responsibility for such a disaster instead of spinning that someone else is to blame. Banja Luka and Bijeljina, like every place in Republika Srpska, are equally important to us, and we will analyze each municipality regardless of the success we achieved and our convincing victory,” Dodik emphasized.
He stressed that everyone must put their animosities aside because Republika Srpska is a responsibility for all of us, and the tasks of both the opposition and the government must be the same.
- “A foreigner cannot just walk in here, and then some opposition representative says that’s okay. Republika Srpska is above all of us and above any personal disputes. Some populists have tried everything possible, and everything has failed — that should be a clear enough message. It’s time for the opposition to stop joking around and realize the importance of their role in society and in Republika Srpska because Srpska is above all of us and above everything,” Dodik concluded.
