All the colors of autumn at “Pumpkin Days”

All the colors of autumn at “Pumpkin Days”

The “Pumpkin Days” event, held for the eleventh consecutive year in East Sarajevo, gathered around 85 exhibitors from Republika Srpska, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.

The two-day event was organized by the citizens’ association “Wake Up” from East Sarajevo. The president of the association, Roksanda Mičić, expressed her gratitude for the support, highlighting that the organization of this year’s event, as well as every previous one, involved a great deal of work, effort, love, and energy.

Mičić noted that this event is a fair for beverages, food, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and tourism, and it also featured a honey and beekeeping products fair.

She explained that the day-long program began with a parade of preschool children under the symbolic theme “Dress in the colors of autumn,” followed by a rich cultural and entertainment program.

  • “There was an exhibition of agricultural products, processed goods, and handicrafts, a pumpkin dish tasting, a competition in quick and precise sock knitting, pumpkin weighing, contests for the heaviest, smallest, and most beautiful pumpkin, as well as for the best literary and artistic work on the theme of autumn, the tastiest pumpkin dish, the best-decorated stand, and the announcement of winners in all categories,” she added.
