Acting Director of the Official Gazette of Republika Srpska, Miloš Lukić, stated after the hearing at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina that the target of the Prosecutor’s Office is the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who enjoys the broadest public support. Lukić asserted that the prosecutors were unprepared for the case, revealing that their actions are motivated by politics rather than law.
“If there had been a live broadcast, the citizens would have seen what is truly of public interest. In the courtroom, we have both legal and political elements. The legal side is where we sit, represented by our lawyers. On the other side, we had a prosecutorial team that was not up to the task,” said Lukić, adding that the prosecutor asked the witness exactly the same questions previously posed by attorney Bubić.
He emphasized that today’s proceedings exposed that the Prosecutor’s Office’s intentions are politically motivated, aimed against Republika Srpska and its president, who embodies national and public unity according to the Constitution.
“It is clear that this bothers some people. On another level, it is personally against Milorad Dodik as the figure who holds the greatest public support,” Lukić noted.
He also mentioned that he would propose that the defense team present the Prosecutor’s Office with a bill at the end of this process.
“Considering all the legal lessons they have been taught in this case, which are significant and would surely cost a lot in legal practice,” Lukić concluded.
