President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik sent a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, on the occasion of Hungary’s National Day, celebrated on August 20th, marking St. Stephen’s Day and the establishment of the Hungarian state, one of the oldest in Europe.
- “Allow me, in my capacity as the President of Republika Srpska, to congratulate you on the National Day, which on August 20th – St. Stephen’s Day – commemorates the establishment of the Hungarian state, one of the oldest on the European continent. The Hungarian state and the Hungarian people are among the most patriotic in Europe today, determined to defend their borders, sovereignty, and identity, while cooperating with neighbors and other states and peoples of Europe and the world,” Dodik stated in his congratulatory message.
The President of Srpska expressed that the friendship, support, and assistance that Hungary has provided to Republika Srpska on numerous occasions elicit gratitude, admiration, and a commitment to further deepen and enhance the exceptional bilateral relations between the two countries, especially the friendship between the Serb and Hungarian peoples, to the mutual satisfaction of both.
- “With sincere congratulations on the occasion of the National Day, and with the wish that you always celebrate it in peace and prosperity, allow me to reiterate my profound respect,” reads the letter from the President of Republika Srpska.
