The speech by the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, at the commemoration in Potočari once again confirms that hatred towards Serbs, Serbia, and Republika Srpska does not cease, even on days that should serve as a remembrance for victims, stated the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
“This is yet another proof that significant parts of political Sarajevo simply cannot move on from the war and move forward in a normal, diplomatic, and civilized manner. It is shameful and inappropriate to accuse the President of Serbia of anything in Potočari, as he, unlike Bećirović, who has never visited Bratunac, visited Potočari and was almost killed there, with no one held accountable,” Dodik emphasized on the social network “X“.
Dodik added that he is proud of every political actor and public official from Republika Srpska, as their conduct and respect have shown the truth that the Serb people are ready to honor and acknowledge the tears of every mother.
“Bećirović has once again confirmed to the entire Serb people his intention to use every opportunity to spread lies about Serbs, aiming to deny us our right to existence, language, identity, culture, and development. To make his shame even greater, he did this in front of a member of the Serbian Government, his compatriot, proving that where there is autonomy of political will and goodwill among people, Serbs and Bosniaks can achieve great things together,” added Dodik.
He emphasized that the Serb people have only one history.
“Understand this once and for all, the fact is that we Serbs clearly state that, regardless of borders, we are one political people. Understand that we have one Church and one faith. Understand that we have one history and that we have always been and will forever be only Serbs without any prefixes that would be preferred in Sarajevo and certain embassies,” Dodik noted.
Dodik pointed out that Bećirović confirmed another fact – Srebrenica is, above all, a political platform.
“And regardless of the fact that the whole world recognizes this, the use of lies about Srebrenica against Serbs, Serbia, and Republika Srpska will not cease. As time goes by, the greatest victims of these lies and this platform will be the Bosniaks in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Driven by hatred and exclusivity, they will lose too much time and too many opportunities. Bosnia and Herzegovina is not solely Bosniak, nor is the war just about Srebrenica,” Dodik added.
