Nenad Stevandić, President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, stated on RTRS morning program that the Serb people hold the torch of freedom very high, which is why they face significant pressures on the Presidents of Serbia and Republika Srpska, Aleksandar Vučić and Milorad Dodik.
“The architects of peace at Dayton did not design it for us to conflict again, but to live in peace and tolerance. What Zlatko Lagumdžija has done is exactly the opposite, of course with the help of those same countries,” emphasized Stevandić.
He highlighted that the leadership of Republika Srpska is doing a difficult job but is acting in the interest of Srpska.
“What we are doing today will one day be taught in history as how today’s leadership of Srpska defended our existence. Everyone knows that Christian Schmidt is illegitimate, but they ignore that fact,” Stevandić conveyed.
Stevandić pointed out the hypocrisy of discussing Srebrenica while numerous civilians are dying in Gaza.
“33,000 people have died in Gaza, most of them children and women. What does that tell us? Are white Bosniaks, i.e., those living in Europe, worth more than those from Asia or Africa? This is a colonial approach,” said Stevandić.
Stevandić emphasized that the crime in Srebrenica was of local nature, confined to one municipality.
“Can we equate this with Rwanda, where 800,000 people were killed, or with the current situation in Gaza? Does this resolution also serve to cleanse Germany’s past, and do its 50 million victims fade into oblivion?”
Regarding the voting in the Security Council, Stevandić noted that a large number of countries have stated they will not support the resolution.
“We already know that over 40 countries reject the Western cliché of rewriting history. When you know that a major country like Russia recently only had seven votes, you must understand that this is already a victory for the Serb people,” Stevandić stated.
