Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić met with Rick Holtzapple, Head of the OSCE Mission, in Banja Luka to discuss the swift formation of a new government, the electoral process and the continuation of Republika Srpska’s economic development.
During the meeting, Holtzapple congratulated Minić on his election victory in the race for President of Republika Srpska, noting that the introduction of new electoral technology had provided additional legitimacy to the electoral process.
Minić informed the OSCE Mission chief that the new authorities in Republika Srpska would be formed very quickly once the procedures before the Central Election Commission were completed.
He expressed confidence that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska would soon be constituted and a new government appointed.
Minić also voiced his expectation that the incoming executive authorities would continue efforts to strengthen Republika Srpska’s economy and promote further development.
Swift government formation essential to addressing citizens’ needs
Minić emphasized that, following the elections, it was extremely important for governments at all levels in BiH to be formed as soon as possible.
He stressed that functioning institutions were necessary to address the real challenges facing citizens and ensure that political attention remained focused on practical solutions.
Economic growth and institutional strengthening among priorities
Looking ahead to assuming office as President of Republika Srpska, Minić outlined his key priorities, including strengthening the Republic’s institutions and creating a more favorable business environment.
He emphasized that encouraging investment, supporting economic activity and maintaining development momentum would remain central objectives of his presidency.
The meeting highlighted the importance of institutional stability, an efficient transition of power and continued economic progress in Republika Srpska.
