Filming has successfully wrapped on the student graduation film Na rubu (“On the Edge”), produced by the Banja Luka International Film and Theatre Center (BIGOC) and the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka.
The film tells the story of Ognjen’s return to Banja Luka and his confrontation with trauma and a truth he has kept hidden for a long time.
Through the story of returning to familiar surroundings and facing what has long been suppressed, the film explores questions of the past, the consequences of trauma and the ways in which a person attempts to cope with their own memories.
Young Cast and Creative Team
The film stars Ilija Ivanović, Nikola Milaković, Branislav Aleksić, Miljka Brđanin and Bojan Kolopić. The cast also includes members of Studio Jazavac: Vanja Aćimović, Aleksa Rakita, Veljko Gradina and Aleksej Varnica.
Kolja Vasić wrote and directed the film, while Biljana Lazić served as producer. David Šipka is the director of photography, Marija Panić was responsible for production and costume design, Mila Prosan handled makeup, and Stribor Letić edited the film.
The project was supported by the Audio-Visual Center of Republika Srpska, continuing its support for the development of young filmmakers and student film projects in Republika Srpska.
