Marc Zell, chairman of Republicans Overseas Israel, has accused Bosniak political leaders in BiH of acting as intermediaries for Iran and argued that the time has come to protect Christians in BiH from what he described as Bosniak oppression and overreach.
Zell made the remarks while commenting on Boris Malagurski’s documentary “Iran of Europe,” which he said examines ties between Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Sarajevo.
“This film is a must-see. It documents the close connection between Iran and the Revolutionary Guards with Sarajevo — today an almost exclusively Muslim capital of BiH. What the film does not mention is the even greater influence of Türkiye on the Bosniaks,” Zell wrote on X.
He also referred to the address delivered by BiH Presidency Chairman Denis Bećirović at the UN General Assembly, accusing him of making defamatory statements about both Republika Srpska and Israel.
“Last night, Muslim Denis Bećirović addressed the UN General Assembly, making defamatory claims against Republika Srpska and the Christian population in BiH. At the same time — emulating [Turkish President] Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and numerous other antisemites — he slandered Israel, falsely accusing the Jewish state of genocide in Gaza and war crimes,” Zell wrote.
Zell argued that the time had come to draw greater international attention to what he described as the political and security consequences of Sarajevo’s influence in BiH.
“The time has come to return to the original principles of the 1995 Dayton Agreement and protect the rights and privileges of the Christian community in BiH from Muslim oppression and overreach,” Zell said.
