Republika Srpska artist’s exhibition at Venice Biennale attracts thousands of visitors

The exhibition Domus Diasporica by artist Mladen Bundalo from Republika Srpska, representing Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, has attracted thousands of visitors since opening at Palazzo Malipiero in Venice, where it will remain on display until 22 November.

For more than a month, the exhibition has invited international audiences to reflect on fundamental questions about the meaning of home, belonging and identity in a world shaped by migration, memory and constant movement.

Through film, photography, drawing and site-specific installations, Domus Diasporica explores the concept of home not as a fixed location, but as a fluid space of relationships, absence, remembrance and reconstruction. The project examines how personal and collective identities are formed between different places, languages and life experiences.

The exhibition was developed in collaboration with curator Isidora Živković and commissioner Dr. Sarita Vujković, and has been jointly organised by the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska and Vizart Production.

The presentation is regarded as one of the most significant cultural projects from Republika Srpska this year. Its positive reception among international audiences highlights the universal relevance of its themes, including migration, identity and the evolving perception of home in contemporary society.

By presenting these subjects within one of the world’s most prestigious contemporary art events, Domus Diasporica offers an important contribution to the international visibility of the cultural and artistic scene of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
