Republika Srpska is a Christian democratic bulwark standing between radical Islam and the heart of Europe, according to American attorney and political activist Mark Zell.
In a post on X, Zell recalled that Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović met yesterday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding that he had the honor of organizing and participating in the meeting.
“Republika Srpska is not just a small entity in the Balkans. It is a Christian democratic bulwark standing between radical Islam and the heart of Europe, and one of Israel’s most consistent friends in the world,” Zell wrote.
According to him, while Bosniak politicians continue to strengthen ties with Iran and Türkiye, Christian Serbs from Republika Srpska remain firmly aligned with the West and Israel.
“While Palestinian flags were raised in Sarajevo after October 7, 2023, Banja Luka illuminated the Palace of the Republic in the colors of Israel,” Zell noted.
He emphasized that Netanyahu’s strong support for relations between Israel and Republika Srpska reflects his strategic vision.
“The Western world must stop undermining its own allies,” Zell added.
Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović addressed the International Policy Summit in Jerusalem yesterday. During her visit, she also held separate meetings with senior Israeli officials.
