Triumph in Tatarstan: Standing ovations in Kazan for “The Forgotten Story” by the Children’s Theatre of Republika Srpska

Actors of the Children’s Theatre of Republika Srpska achieved remarkable success at the 6th International Puppet Festival “Shombay” in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, where the ensemble received thunderous applause following both performances of The Forgotten Story, directed by Andrej Boka.

Audiences in Kazan warmly embraced the production. The enthusiasm was so strong that applause repeatedly interrupted the performance itself, a special recognition for the acting ensemble.

Responding to the warm reception and outstanding reaction of the Russian audience, actors Božana Bijelić, Zorana Šuman, Aleksandar Runjić and Nikola Milaković delivered masterful performances, reaffirming the theatre’s status as one of the leading children’s theatres in the region.

Video footage of the applause and the extraordinary atmosphere that accompanied the performances offers only a glimpse of what the national theatre for children of Republika Srpska experienced during this important visit to Tatarstan.

The international success of The Forgotten Story marks another significant step in promoting the culture and theatrical arts of Republika Srpska on the global stage.
