What Republika Srpska experienced in recent years, including tensions and misunderstandings with the previous U.S. administration, has now largely been overcome, Prime Minister Savo Minić said at the European Summit on Economy and Security in Banja Luka.
“It is important to emphasize that throughout history we have stood on the right side together with the American people and the Russian people. Overcoming those challenges is of great significance for Republika Srpska,” Minić said.
He stressed that Republika Srpska has demonstrated a strong institutional capacity, which he described as a prerequisite for economic security and meaningful international cooperation.
“When we speak about economic security, it cannot function without institutional capacity. Only institutions can adopt credible and binding decisions that enable others to recognize and respect you as a serious participant in international cooperation,” Minić stated.
He added that Republika Srpska has consistently advocated fundamental human values and the rule of law.
“Republika Srpska is ready, in every possible way, to be a serious partner. We are prepared to be a factor in international relations that contributes to the fight against terrorism and all forms of crime,” Minić said.
The first European Summit on Economy and Security, organized by the Gold Institute for International Strategy, is being held in Banja Luka with more than 100 participants from over 20 countries attending the event.
