President of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan met today at the Government headquarters of Republika Srpska in East Sarajevo with a delegation from the United States Congress led by Congressman Keith Self. Congressman Suhas Subramanyam was also part of the delegation.
Karan stated that Republika Srpska advocates for consistent respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement and the preservation of the constitutional position of Republika Srpska.
“Karan emphasized that the institutions of Republika Srpska are strongly committed to dialogue among domestic leaders, as well as to preserving peace and stability,” the statement from the President’s Office said.
The meeting was also attended by John Ginkel, chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the United States in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
