Željka Cvijanović stated that her visit to Washington provided an opportunity to meet with Mike Turner, a Republican congressman, with whom she discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I expressed satisfaction with the balanced approach of the U.S. administration toward all peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with the fact that, for the first time, there is also an economic interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Cvijanović wrote on Instagram.
She emphasized that the time has come for domestic institutions to assume responsibility for political processes in the country without foreign interference or external dictates.
During her stay in Washington, Cvijanović also met with Claudia Tenney, Republican congresswoman and co-chair of the Serbian Caucus in the U.S. Congress.
