Ana Trišić Babić stated that the American vision of a sovereign Bosnia and Herzegovina led by “local leaders,” meaning the presidents of the entities, cannot succeed unless previous “dictates” imposed by international actors are annulled.
“You cannot expect local leaders to govern if the now former ‘emperor’ has already disqualified them in advance. Like the edicts of Roman emperors, Schmidt’s rulings and decrees should be considered invalid upon the end of his mandate — lex annua,” Trišić Babić stated.
She stressed that there can be no genuine sovereignty as long as the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina still contains the offense of “non-compliance with the decisions of the High Representative.”
“There is no sovereignty if verdicts based on that principle are not overturned,” Trišić Babić wrote on the social network X.
