Two books were presented last night in Zvornik: Therapy with Tesla by Tamara Jevtović and I Was a Beast – The Lamb Touched Me by Nemanja Jovanović.
Therapy with Tesla was named best novel at the ninth Drina Literary Gatherings for 2025, while I Was a Beast – The Lamb Touched Me received special praise.
Jevtović said she is continually inspired by the life and work of Nikola Tesla, especially the methods through which he developed inventions and patents. She noted that her research explores the formulas and thought processes behind Tesla’s innovations.
Jovanović described his book as an autobiographical testimony, recounting years of a troubled life before discovering faith in Christ. He said the work tells of his personal falls, sins, and the moment of spiritual transformation.
According to the author, the book is particularly addressed to young people who feel lost, struggle with temptations, or search for direction in life.
He also stated that proceeds from around 1,100 copies sold in recent months have largely been directed toward humanitarian causes, helping children, churches, and monasteries.
Both books were published by As Oglasi. Editor-in-chief Dejan Spasojević said Jovanović’s book drew significant public attention and achieved both literary and humanitarian impact.
He added that Therapy with Tesla offers fresh perspectives on Tesla’s scientific work, humble life, and his contribution to humanity.
