Dodik: Global situation is chaotic and Republika Srpska must preserve its current level of autonomy

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said that Republika Srpska must preserve its current level of autonomy, adding that an additional reason is the chaotic global situation, where affairs no longer function according to rules but in line with the daily politics of powerful countries.

“The situation in the world is different compared with a few years ago. At present, foreign policy in the world is manifested through the use of force, which is then turned into certain policies,” Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka, where he is taking part in the scientific discussion ‘Republika Srpska and cooperation with Russia, the United States and the European Union’.

Dodik stressed that crisis hotspots have turned into war zones.

“No one can be certain when the situation will calm down. One thing is certain — the world is no longer unipolar, but multipolar,” he said.

According to him, there is no stable relationship among the multipolar centers of power, which leads to chaos.

Dodik said representatives of Republika Srpska must understand the situation and respond accordingly.

“Without hesitation, we must discuss how we will behave. We must not lose the subjectivity and level of autonomy that Republika Srpska has and wants to further strengthen,” Dodik said.

He also repeated his view that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a failed country that cannot be revitalized.
